Because the ability to provide culturally competent care is especially important for care-worker, who function in high-acuity, high-stress healthcare environments. Care nurses must develop cultural competency to be effective in establishing rapport with patients, and to accurately assess, develop, and implement nursing interventions designed to meet patients’ needs. Thus, it is important to testify the self-cultural awareness. More specifically, the resource is a questionnaire that can be used to assess a person’s level of cultural. It consists of 17 items ranged 3 (always) – 1 (never). There are three level of awareness: 1)High degree of cultural awareness, 2)Average degree of cultural awareness, 3)Low degree of cultural awareness.

Everyday we act on the cultural basis. It is very important to get awareness of this.
